Leadership Coaching

Want to achieve bigger, vision-based goals?
Need more productive collaborations?
Ready to have greater impact and inspire others?

I coach highly-driven executives, managers, and community leaders. Individual coaching goals vary but typically include one or more of the following elements of leading teams or building relationships. My customized workshops are “module based” so that companies can choose the area that is relevant to company needs.

Communicating productively and successfully

Organizational surveys place communication as the primary issue limiting success of a manager, leader, or salesperson. And yet, it stymies so many leaders. My communication coaching focuses on helping leaders gain core competencies that inspire people in a personal and purposeful manner.

Leadership development

The demands and quotas of day-to-day business can make it seemingly impossible to fit in developing staff and teams to become future leaders. Leadership development coaching provides managers with state-of-the-art coaching tools to help their staff members develop skills, outlook, and confidence to prepare them to become tomorrow’s leaders.

Public speaking (including meeting facilitation)

As much as people avoid speaking publicly or leading meetings, both can be a deciding factor in career promotions, nonprofit giving, and business financial growth. Presentation coaching is essential for all managers who want to engage and inspire others in any public setting. (See my workshops on public speaking for a full description.)

Strategic planning implementation

Studies have found that two-thirds to three-quarters of large organizations struggle to implement their strategies. Why? It turns out it’s less about planning and more about company cohesion. Through our coaching, you’ll learn effective coaching tools to improve performance of team members along with strategies to build a productive team that fosters a “healthy growth mindset” that adapts swiftly to market changes.

Prioritizing with clear goals in mind

In a fast-paced workplace, it’s often difficult to discern what’s truly important versus what’s pressingly urgent. It can be immensely difficult to know when to say “no,” when to delegate, and how to best focus your attention. Coaching helps you prioritize and manage your time so that you can have time to achieve your big, exciting goals.

Hiring smart

A recent study revealed that only 19 percent of new hires go on to achieve success in the company. Considering the cost of training and the potentially devastating toll on a company, it is vital to hire people who are a good fit for your company. Our Hire Smart! coaching focuses on developing a strong hiring protocol and purposefully selecting strong candidates with the technical skills needed as well as alignment with organizational culture.

As I identified my personal and professional strengths, my hesitancy to challenge the status quo was replaced by a calm, consistent and vocal leadership role in the office. My performance and demeanor were acknowledged by a promotion opportunity that I declined. Why? Because with each focused step that I took, I became aware of my singular desire to seek a career path that honors my creativity and curiosity, and most importantly, a path that energizes me.
